Meet The Doctors

Sean Moriarty, DMD

A native of Pennsylvania and a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Sean Moriarty is proud to conduct business and raise his family in Lancaster County. He owns and operates two thriving dental practices; Mor Smiles in Lititz, PA and Ephrata Family Dentistry in Ephrata, PA. He takes great pride in offering his patients the highest level of clinical care in a calm, relaxed environment. He is also grateful to have two amazing teams of assistants, hygienists and support staff that enable every patient to have a world-class experience.

After graduating from Penn State, Dr. Moriarty attended the Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University. Before graduating with his Doctorate in Dental Medicine, he was a member of the Oral Surgery Honor Society and served as President of the Endodontic Honor Society. He also conducted extensive research in the graduate endodontic clinic. Most importantly, he was inspired to maintain a life-long commitment to learning to ensure he is well-versed and trained on the latest dental research and techniques.

Since becoming a full-time dentist in 2006, Dr. Moriarty has completed in excess of 100 hours of continuing education on an annual basis. Most of this focus has been on advanced procedures such as the placement of dental implants and IV sedation, which allows him to provide a more comprehensive range of treatment options to his patients. He is proud to participate in two of the most prestigious professional development programs in dentistry – the Kois Center in Seattle, WA and the Spear Institute in Scottsdale, AZ. Dr. Moriarty was hand-picked to join an exclusive study club through Spear Education with Imtiaz Manji, former CEO of Spear Education. He currently serves as the co-leader of the local Spear Study Club and is also an active member of the Pennsylvania Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Moriarty works hard to raise public awareness of the benefits of great dental hygiene and is very proud to support his local and global communities. Making a difference in the lives and smiles of others is what drives Dr. Moriarty on a daily basis. He is honored to serve with the Open Wide Foundation, an organization that supports communities in Guatemala that typically do not have access to dental care, communities that have never seen or been treated by a dentist. The Open Wide Foundation was founded in 2011 and its mission is to significantly impact better oral health to communities in need.
Dr. Moriarty also enjoys giving back to his local community each year by providing dental care for individuals who reside at the Water Street Mission and by providing Free Dentistry Days at Mor Smiles. The Free Dentistry Days provide dental care to 75 patients throughout the course of three days. This community outreach effort is supported and staffed by the entire team at Mor Smiles and the Sedation Consulting Group. All dentists who volunteer their time and talents for the Free Dentistry Days complete dental procedures by utilizing IV sedation to ensure a positive, peaceful experience.

Away from the office, Dr. Moriarty and his wife, Ashley are devoted to raising their family; Mia, Charlotte and Conor and their two loyal dogs. In addition, he enjoys golf, tennis, traveling and flying airplanes.

Ofori A. Oware, DMD

Dr. Oware is originally from Koforidua (AKA K-dua), Ghana, which is the capital of the eastern region in southern Ghana. He and his family moved to the United States when he was only six years old and they made their new home base in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He attended Rutgers University where he studied Biology with a minor in Psychology. He went on to attend the Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2020.

Dr. Oware is committed to providing high-quality, state-of-the-art dental care to all his patients.  His philosophy of care is one which is built upon mutual trust, respect, compassion and understanding. He believes it is imperative to understand each patient’s wants and needs to develop an individualized treatment plan. Dr. Oware is sensitive to patients who have high levels of anxiety and is determined to assist them in feeling comfortable in the dental office and providing them with the care they need. He is passionate about learning and is committed to continuing education courses to ensure that he is well-rounded and maintains his finger on the pulse of the latest trends in dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry.

He believes in giving back and making a difference in peoples’ lives on both the local and global levels. You will find him volunteering at the New Jersey food bank and soup kitchen during the holiday seasons. He has also worked with Habitat for Humanity to build homes for low income families. His family was able to fund and build a library in Ghana and Dr. Oware serves as an advocate for literacy. He supports his uncle’s endeavors to collect books for the African Book Challenge (ABC) to grow the library’s collection of literature. One day, Dr. Oware also hopes to establish a doctor without borders site in Ghana to help deliver much needed dental care. It is often difficult to find and receive dental care in Ghana unless you live close to a major city.

Dr. Oware and his girlfriend, Jennifer recently adopted a Pitbull mix, Georgia, and in their free time they enjoy taking her on long walks and hiking; Hawk Mountain was their most recent adventure! He takes great pleasure in woodworking and using a lathe – he believes there is nothing more satisfying than using a fallen tree to make something useful. You might also find Dr. Oware playing soccer, volleyball, or spending time with his nieces and nephews – a good game of hide and seek is customary for their visits.
