Sean Moriarty, DMD
A native of Pennsylvania and a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Sean Moriarty is proud to conduct business and raise his family in Lancaster County. He owns and operates two thriving dental practices; Mor Smiles in Lititz, PA and Ephrata Family Dentistry in Ephrata, PA. He takes great pride in offering his patients the highest level of clinical care in a calm, relaxed environment. He is also grateful to have two amazing teams of assistants, hygienists and support staff that enable every patient to have a world-class experience.
After graduating from Penn State, Dr. Moriarty attended the Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University. Before graduating with his Doctorate in Dental Medicine, he was a member of the Oral Surgery Honor Society and served as President of the Endodontic Honor Society. He also conducted extensive research in the graduate endodontic clinic. Most importantly, he was inspired to maintain a life-long commitment to learning to ensure he is well-versed and trained on the latest dental research and techniques.
Since becoming a full-time dentist in 2006, Dr. Moriarty has completed in excess of 100 hours of continuing education on an annual basis. Most of this focus has been on advanced procedures such as the placement of dental implants and IV sedation, which allows him to provide a more comprehensive range of treatment options to his patients. He is proud to participate in two of the most prestigious professional development programs in dentistry – the Kois Center in Seattle, WA and the Spear Institute in Scottsdale, AZ. Dr. Moriarty was hand-picked to join an exclusive study club through Spear Education with Imtiaz Manji, former CEO of Spear Education. He currently serves as the co-leader of the local Spear Study Club and is also an active member of the Pennsylvania Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Moriarty works hard to raise public awareness of the benefits of great dental hygiene and is very proud to support his local and global communities. Making a difference in the lives and smiles of others is what drives Dr. Moriarty on a daily basis. He is honored to serve with the Open Wide Foundation, an organization that supports communities in Guatemala that typically do not have access to dental care, communities that have never seen or been treated by a dentist. The Open Wide Foundation was founded in 2011 and its mission is to significantly impact better oral health to communities in need.
Dr. Moriarty also enjoys giving back to his local community each year by providing dental care for individuals who reside at the Water Street Mission and by providing Free Dentistry Days at Mor Smiles. The Free Dentistry Days provide dental care to 75 patients throughout the course of three days. This community outreach effort is supported and staffed by the entire team at Mor Smiles and the Sedation Consulting Group. All dentists who volunteer their time and talents for the Free Dentistry Days complete dental procedures by utilizing IV sedation to ensure a positive, peaceful experience.
Away from the office, Dr. Moriarty and his wife, Ashley are devoted to raising their family; Mia, Charlotte and Conor and their two loyal Boxers. In addition, he enjoys golf, tennis, traveling and flying airplanes.
Liam J. Register, DMD
Dr. Register is a native of central Pennsylvania, born and raised in Lock Haven. He attended Lock Haven University where he dual majored in Biology and Health Science and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Philadelphia was his next home (go Eagles!), where he attended Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. It was at Temple where he met his wonderful wife, Cait, who is also a practicing dentist in Lancaster. Upon graduation, Dr. Register returned home to practice dentistry alongside his lifelong mentor. He recently moved to Lancaster to join Cait and their chocolate labradoodle, Franklin. They look forward to becoming part of the community and continue to learn and grow as dental professionals to better serve Lancaster County residents.
Outside of the clinic, some of the greatest lessons Dr. Register learned during his time at Temple occurred while he participated in mission trips. He traveled to Haiti and Jamaica to serve the underprivileged and received valuable advanced training in oral surgery. He is a member of the American Student Dental Association, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and Spear Study Clubs. He is passionate about continuing his education and always trying to better himself. Dr. Register looks forward to working alongside Dr. Moriarty and his team, providing patients with up-to-date comprehensive dental care in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
Away from the office, Dr. Register enjoys spending time with Cait and Franklin, traveling, playing soccer, hunting, fishing, hiking, attempting to golf and anything chocolate!
